Forward Newspaper Online: Costly Withdrawal Is the Price To Be Paid for a Foolish War

Martin van Creveld, wisdom: Forward Newspaper Online: Costly Withdrawal Is the Price To Be Paid for a Foolish War
For misleading the American people, and launching the most foolish war since Emperor Augustus in 9 B.C sent his legions into Germany and lost them, Bush deserves to be impeached and, once he has been removed from office, put on trial along with the rest of the president’s men. If convicted, they’ll have plenty of time to mull over their sins.

wazzaaapool monday

At night a small crowd of 100 demonstrators standing in the cold next to the Senate crying for help. Two CRS busses parked across the street and the young men in space uniforms newly written on the backs in highly elegant arial GENDARMERIE, their plastic shields leaning on the floor against their knees, watching uneasily everyone who passes, giving them reassuring glances. They are alert, ready for action, but just any action, trained in a kind of modern sport of crowd control. We enter the pool to empty the body of daily cramps, and reach 1500 m in 45 minutes a kind of peace that lets you continue. 400 crawl, 200 backstroke, 8×50 sprints accelerating, 200 m crawl kick, 8×25+25 crawl sprint/backstroke.

Libération : Tous unis contre Sarkozy

The center of Paris hasn’t been spared; united, well-dressed, middle class people chanting Sarkozy dismissed—problem resolved; they also want the liberation of “innocent youngsters”; too few people hear this that Sarkozy is directly implicated in a social struggle by abusing language, specially the French language, and insulting people, he should resign : Libération : Tous unis contre Sarkozy

Paris seems empty in the damp fall night, or surrealistically peaceful. We enter the electric pool, Saint Germain, electrified by anticipation. 400 crawl, 200 backstroke, 200 pull boy, 200 kickboard, 100 dolphin kick, 8×50 sprints accelerating, 100 backstroke, 4×25 sprints, 100 backstroke, showers, and out into the night.
